Hello Moonbeams!!!
Beginning with Beltane, May is a month brimming with fire, ceremony, celebration, love, and fertile energy. On May 19 at 11:53am, the New Moon will occur in the earth sign Taurus supporting all kinds of changes and new beginnings. The good news is, we have officially closed out a crazy eclipse season and Mercury finally went direct on the 14th . We now have a powerful time for manifestation and a deep connection with the earth as Taurus literally rules the earth in our body.
Ready to dive a little deeper into the May New Moon? Well, this one is also a Black Moon! A Black Moon is a rare astrological event that occurs when there are two new moons in the same month. This month we have what is called a seasonal Black Moon as there are 4 new moons this spring season, something that only occurs once every 33 months. There is powerful magick here..a potency that thrives in the dark.
Taurus is a feminine, earth sign ruled by Venus, the planet that governs love, pleasure, beauty, and money. Our May moon falls on a Friday, a day ruled by Venus as well as Aphrodite, Isis, Hathor, and Eros among others. Taurus lives in the tangible..the five senses. This is a time to allow those senses to awaken, becoming more conscious of your body and the grounding stability of the earth. Special attention should be given to your Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras now. The Root Chakra is linked to smell, the Sacral to taste and the Solar Plexus to sight. Do you crave more stability in your life? Do you need to reconnect to your power, your inner god or goddess? It is time to create the life you have dreamed of. Pay attention to what transpires now and ride the beautiful vibrations of this New Taurus Moon..it is there for you.
Black Moon Water
Create Moon Water by pouring water into a glass vessel of your choice and placing it beneath the Black Moon. No need to wait for a full moon, the magick is still there.
And, since this is a time for planting seeds, why not plant a..Magickal Moon Garden..an enchanting way to honor the moon goddess herself. Many night-blooming flowers are white and rely on strong fragrance, rather than bright colors, to attract insects. Plant night-bloomers near a bedroom window, where the breeze can carry the fragrance indoors right into your dreams. Plant some in a circle or crescent to mimic the Moon, especially alongside Lambs Ears and Artemisia. Illuminated only by moonlight, pale flowers; silver leaves add a dreamy, ethereal feeling. Potted plants will work also. Finally, you can place Moonstones and or Crystals in the dirt to energize them for meditations and spells.
