Hello Moonbeams!!!
May 18th…is Full Moon time again!!! In Pagan tradition, this is the Flower moon because lots of flowers bloom in May, after the April showers. This is a good time for working on commitments, both in spirit and love because the moon is in the deeply intense sign of Scorpio.
Scorpio is a water sign, so this moon is all about the sea of our emotions, diving beneath the surface and facing our shadow self…those parts of ourselves that we’d rather shove in a box and pretend do not exist. A big part of healing is doing shadow work, a time when shadowy subconscious material is brought into the light where it can be seen and accepted or released.
In the book “Moon Phase Astrology” this Full Moon is called the “Priestess’s Moon” because “the Priestess has been down to the darkness and up again into the light. She has dragged herself down the path of deep introspection and learned that the best way out is with the aid of Deeper Powers” Women are the vessels for Lunar Energy, receiving and directing the magical force as their biology is more attuned to the Moon's Cycles, than are men's biology.
This is also a powerful time for the Divine Feminine energy within us…the time to celebrate our femininity and our connection to the Goddess. This is her power time, no matter which Goddess you follow or work with.
On the night of the full moon, place a clear quartz crystal in a jar of purified water. (Can also make by the gallon).
Place the vessel outside in a clear moonlit spot, making sure jar is covered.
When morning arrives, your water will be charged with lunar energy. Drink a bit every morning for body, mind & soul balance.
Since moon time is special, we’ve designed a little body-love yoga ritual designed to promote relaxation and ease…breathing 10 breaths in each pose…
